Ainara Bujanda-Cundin

Electrical Engineer | Wyss Center Neurotechnology Experts

Ainara joined the Wyss Center as Junior Electrical Engineer in September 2017. She supports the team in the RF engineering for Wyss Center projects.

She has experience in antennas and RF electronics for implanted medical devices as well as in impedance spectroscopy for the electrical characterization of cells and tissues from their dielectric properties perspective.

Career

Prior to joining the Wyss Center, Ainara worked for two years as application scientist and electrical engineer at the Swiss start-up Amphasys AG (Lucerne, Switzerland). During this time, she acquired experience in impedance spectroscopy and impedance flow cytometry for the electrical characterization of single cells, high frequency electronics and microfabrication of bioMEMS. She also worked in close collaboration with the École Politechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.

Between 2013-2014 she was a visiting student at the antennas and bioelectromagnetics department at Queen Mary University of London where she studied the impact of the human body on the radiation efficiency of implantable antennas.

Ainara received her engineering degree from the University of Navarra (Spain) in June 2013
