Benoît Dubuis, PhD

In June 2013 Benoît Dubuis was appointed Executive Director of Campus Biotech Geneva and Development Director of the Wyss Center. He brings more than 20 years of international experience in the field of life sciences, both in industry and in academic science management. After his training as a chemical engineer, a PhD from ETH Zurich (ETH Medal 1995) and academic research positions in Cambridge and Cranfield in England, he occupied different management positions in pharmaceutical companies, including Chemap, Ciba-Geigy/Novartis and Lonza.

Career

Benoît joined the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2000, where he established the School of Life Sciences and served as its first Dean.

He also launched the BioAlps life sciences network and founded the biotech company Excellgene SA. In 2004 he co-founded Eclosion, the first Swiss life sciences seed-fund and incubator.
